ОСОЗНАННЫЙ ВЫБОР : A CONSCIOUS CHOICE

What is the correlation between ECOLOGY and QUALITY, and why we choose it for Delonatelo.

For more than 10 years we have partnered with the brands: Stanley/Stella and Continental Clothing Co. We choose them because of their quality - and, over the years we have grown together through an ecological evolution. The brands are even better quality now, than they ever were before. And without question, represent the best in European base clothing for designers, bars and cafes, and corporate promo and merchandise.

A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO ASK

  • I wonder if the product has a clean history.
  • I wonder if people were hurt while making this product.
  • I wonder if children were harmed or terrorised, or put to work.
  • If animals were abused or exploited.
  • If the world became a little bit more ill because of this product - and then I bought it.

THIS IS CALLED TRANSPARENCY.

ECOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES.

Stanley-Stella-AW19-26-075_URBAN WANDERERS.jpg

  • ZERO WASTE. Recycling materials that are already in our system – plastic, cotton :
  • CLIMATE CHANGE. Lowering carbon emission and pollution.
  • STOP POISONING PEOPLE.  Completely removing harmful chemicals in our products, and in the manufacturing process.
  • LOVE OUR PLANET AND EVERYTHING IN IT.  Ensuring people, children, animals and forests are not exploited or abused.

DELONATELO IS DIFFERENT.

Our products are organic, recycled, vegan and fair.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH PRODUCT QUALITY.

  • Outstanding quality of the cotton currently produced on organic farms - soft and free of imperfection.
  • Free of chemicals and safe against the skin.
  • A longer life of product, well made, and a guarrantee supported by certification and audit.
  • Better manufacturing, because employees are paid well, and not over-worked, stressed.
  • Cleaner product, that contributes to a cleaner world : recycling, green energy, low carbon footprint, less waste, recycled plastics, recycled cottons.

It is very difficult to say you have a quality product when the answers to these questions are not positive. Quality is no longer about just being well made, or a having high price.

It is a correlation with ecology, ethics & sustainability

A MESSAGE FROM STANLEY/STELLA.

We believe that fair trade and sustainable development are natural: respecting your skin with soft materials; respecting the men and women who make your clothes with dignified working conditions; and respecting the world that we live in by limiting our impact on the environment.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is a natural, GMO-free fibre that uses less water than standard cotton.

Its production does not involve the use of chemicals (no fertilisers or pesticides) and encourages rotation of crops to keep soil healthier, more fertile and maintain humidity. Waste from the cotton ginning process is also recycled for the animal feed industry. Seeds are retained for sustainability.

Both Stanley/Stella and Continental Clothing Co. have been the largest organic textile licensees of the Organic Soil Association and in the top 10 users of organically grown sustainable cotton.

RECYCLED COTTON

The idea of throwing cutting waste away out of the question, therefore these materials are collected and recycled into new cotton threads, that in turn are used in new T-shirts, shopper bags and sweatshirts.

RECYCLED POLYESTER

Chips from broken down PET bottles processed into polyester threads, that are woven into textile.

GRS CERTIFIED

The Global Recycled Standard label certifies that the materials are 100% recycled.

GRS also guarantees compliance with social and environmental criteria such as treatment of waste water, the absence of toxic additives.

Approximately 7-8 PET bottles make up one item of clothing.

SUSTAINABLE FIBERS

Tencel™ Lyocell and Modal are biodegradable and made from eucalyptus and beech tree pulp.

Eucalyptus is known for being a fast-growing wood that does not require irrigation. The Tencel manufacturing process has received the “European Award for the Environment” from the European Union due to its low emissions.

Tencel™  cellulose fibres are sourced exclusively from the Austrian manufacturer Lenzing, the first fibre manufacturer to have received the EU Ecolabel, which promotes environmental excellence.

PETA CERTIFICATION

We are very proud to announce that Stanley/Stella and EarthPositive are vegan collections, with approval by the ethical watchdog, PETA.

This means that the brands do not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and pledge never to do so.

The materials themselves are also 100% vegan.

No animals were harmed during the making of our products.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD - CHEMICAL FREE, LEAD FREE

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifies the absence of harmful chemical substances, and restriction on the lead content of dyes.

It is an independent testing and certification system that ensures that all raw, semi-finished and finished textile products are checked for certain potentially harmful substances, even where they are not (yet) legally banned

GOTS CERTIFICATION

GOTS is the strictest certification for textiles made from organic fibres - the Global Organic Textile Standard.  GOTS tracks and audits the entire chain of production - from farm to factory - from cotton harvesting, weaving and assembly - to the final product just before it's printed.  It even includes the export and import of the clothing.

It certifies that the cotton is GMO-free, is grown without use of chemicals, processed and coloured  without any banned toxic substances.

GOTS also ensures compliance with labour standards in adherence of the International Labour Organisation, ILO, throughout production.

ZERO WASTE

Zero Waste is a visionary goal to encourage people to change their lifestyle and practice sustainable natural cycles.  The objective is that all discarded or unused materials become resources for the next generation of products.

Salvage capsule collection was launched in 2013 with 100% recycled materials and an aim for zero-waste.  The collection includes shopper bags, T-shirts and sweatshirts.

CLIMATE CHANGE

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY IN FACTORIES means greater efficiency, waste reduction, and water filtering, and the use of wind or solar energy.

EarthPositive won  the 2011 CLIMATE WEEK AWARDS, for reducing Carbon Footprint by 90%.

MAKING BUSINESS WITH LOVE.

It is fantastic to say this product does not come with a chemical history - and we know this to be true, due to transparency of the total production process. We enjoy saying to our friends, colleagues and customers, this is really beautiful cotton – clean, strong – and it's made organically, by farmers, who care for the quality of the product they produce.
